We have operated within the context of challenges relating to the increase in number of prevocational trainees as a result of the expansion of the Victorian medical schools, a new national accreditation and registration scheme (from 1 July 2010), new pathways for the assessment and supervision of International Medical Graduates (IMGs), implementation of national initiatives, such as the Australian Curriculum Framework for Junior Doctors, and a national review of medical intern training.
We look forward to meeting these challenges and working with our stakeholders on these important issues.
